We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, and search information providers) and may receive information about you from them. If we do obtain your personal data from a third party your privacy rights under this notice are not affected and you are still able to exercise the rights contained within this notice.

We process Registration Information, Technical Information, Aggregated Information and Site Information on the basis of the performance of our contract with you and on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing services to you.

We process Browsing information on the basis of your consent.

Registration Information

We do not sell or transfer any of your personal information to any other person or third party (except as explicitly provided in accordance with this Privacy Policy).

Aggregated Information

We may use Aggregated Information to to understand how our services are used and to provide a better user experience and for market trend demographic analysis. Such information will only be sold or transferred to third parties in a form which is aggregated and completely anonymised. An example of this would be to provide information showing that eg, 90% of the searches performed in respect of a given product have been made by men in the 70-85 age group in a certain geographical location.

Information we receive from other sources. We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you. We may use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

Retention of Data

Our current data retention policy is to delete or destroy (to the extent we are able to) personal data (excluding Aggregated Information) seven years after collecting the relevant data. Seven years being the length of time following a breach of contract in which a contract party is entitled to make a legal claim.

The retention periods stated in this notice can be prolonged or shortened as may be required (for example, in the event that legal proceedings apply to the data or if there is an on-going investigation into the data).

Disclosure of your information

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may share Aggregated Information with selected third parties, including:

  • Suppliers of products or services who offer their products or services for sale via our site (either directly or via an affiliate scheme), and whose site(s) you visit as a result of using our site.

  • Affiliate schemes that provide product feeds that are included on our site.

  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.

If we do supply your personal information to a third party we will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights are protected and that third party complies with the terms of this notice.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA, who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, administration services, the processing of your payment details (where relevant) and the provision of support services.
